No 313: Trouble Over Tokyo
Actually, sometime B Jaxx singer Milly Blue adds ghostly guest warbles to one of the LP's songs, 4,228, a tale of transatlantic love gone disastrously wrong. The other titles of the tracks on Pyramides offer further clues as to the state of mind of this suburban boy who wrote his first song when he was five and, aged seven, fell under the spell created by Quincy Jones on those Michael Jackson classics of neurotic disco, Off The Wall, Thriller and, especially, Bad. Of those titles, Save Us, The Liar, Washing Away The Dirt, My Anxiety and The Dark Below (Oh ... My God) particularly give the impression of someone who's either had incredible bad luck with women, or simply has an overactive imagination and is attracted by the notion of the lonely cyber miserabilist. The buzz: "Like Sufjan Stevens discovered electro music under the influence of Matthew Dear."The truth: It's not quite in the same league as Vulnerabilia, the astonishing 2002 debut album of wan songtronica by defunct Manchester duo My Computer ... but as digital melancholia goes, it's pretty good. Most likely to: Wear thin after a while.Least likely to: Wear lederhosen by the Nile. What to buy: Pyramides is released by Klein on June 16.File next to: Thom Yorke, My Computer, Junior Boys, Mew.Links: www.myspace.com/troubleovertokyoTomorrow's new band: ManMan.

Coldplay Inspired By Justin Timberlake On New Album
Coldplay frontman Chris Martin has revealed that the band were inspired by Justin Timberlake on their new album, 'Viva La Vida'.
Martin admitted that drummer Will Champion is a huge fan of Timberlakes song, 'Cry Me a River' and that it was his inspiration for one of their album tracks.
"One song we're always trying to chase is 'Cry Me A River' in terms of the beats and everything," Martin said.
"I know that is one of Will's favourite songs. And he did all the drums on 'Lost!'".

Irish star in Wuthering Heights talks
Variety reports that the film will be directed by British director John Maybury ('The Jacket', 'Love is the Devil') and is due to begin shooting in the autumn.
Natalie Portman, who had been due to star in the film, has left the project due to a scheduling conflict.
Fassbender also starred in the blockbuster '300'; his new film 'Hunger', in which he portrays hunger striker Bobby Sands, will be screened at the Cannes Film Festival this month.
Costello's Beautiful, says Blunt
IF British crooner James Blunt thinks You're Beautiful - not to mention loves your voice - it's pretty likely your singing career is going to hit a high note. Such is the prime position Sydney model-turned-muso Kate Costello has found herself in after she was introduced to the chart-topping Romeo last week. Just weeks after leaving Vivien's Model Management to focus on her career as a music performer, the 20-year-old blonde had the good fortune to be introduced to Blunt by a friend. Currently touring Australia in promotion of his latest album All The Lost Souls, Blunt - whose way with the ladies is just that - was apparently quite taken with Costello after the pair met in Melbourne. Not missing a beat, the self-taught guitarist, singer and songwriter managed to slip Blunt a demo of her recordings - and the hirsute hottie was impressed. After attending Blunt's show at the Rod Laver Arena, the singers enjoyed a dinner together, but the English casanova didn't leave Costello with Goodbye My Lover. Instead, he found some time in his tight touring schedule to introduce Costello to music executives at his record label Warner Music, Confidential understands. "We haven't heard Kate's music yet but James is obviously an exceptional talent and his opinion is held in high regard," a Warner Music spokeswoman said yesterday. While Blunt performs in Perth this weekend, Costello has scored her first live gig at Darlinghurst venue Ruby Rabbit on Saturday night, playing at a party hosted by the club's part-owner Shane Moran.
Lopez picks names for her twin babies
According to Digital Spy, witnesses at the North Shore University Hospital in Long Island said that they overheard the star calling her babies Maximiano and Emelina.
Previous reports had suggested that the singer's mother recently bought bracelets for the babies and had the names Max and Emme engraved on them.
Jessica Simpson Unveils New Country Single
The 27-year old has been getting back to her country roots by working hard on country inspired album, and the first sampler has hit the internet.
Her first single Come On Over has Simpson singing in a southern drawl to the lyrics: "Just come on over/I need you now/I need you bad/I need you baby looking just like that."
Speaking to Billboard about the recording, she said: “I am a country girl. I grew up in Texas, and country music was what I listened to. I always wanted to make a country album, but I wanted to wait until the time was right."

Snoop Dogg Calls On Princes To Overturn U.k. Ban
The star - real name Calvin Broadus Jr. - was prohibited from entering the country after he was involved in a brawl at Heathrow Airport in April 2006.
That ruling was overturned earlier this year (08) when Snoop wrote to the U.K. government to ask for his visa ban to be lifted.
But earlier this month (Apr08), Britain's Border Agency bosses confirmed they will be challenging the decision in court.
Broadus, who counts the young princes as fans, insists he hasn't done anything wrong and is determined to get back into the U.K. - even if it means consulting his royal acquaintances.
He says, "I'm not an aggressive individual at all and I've been wrongfully accused. I've not done anything to the people of Britain.
"I've never got into trouble, never violated him, never disrespected them, and I've always shown them love and turned up. What did I do? Who did I offend?
"You should talk to the Princes - William and Harry - I bet they want me over there!"
Sex And The City - Noth No Longer Loves New York
SEX AND THE CITY star CHRIS NOTH has delivered another blow to the city where the TV show and new movie is set, insisting New York isn't as great as it used to be.
His comments come just weeks after Sex and The City producers snubbed the Big Apple for the world premiere of the film, and held it in London instead.
Speaking to publisher Ron Galotti - the inspiration for his Mr. Big character - Noth, who first arrived in New York in the 1970s, tells Interview magazine says, "New York is pretty much commercialised to the point of no return"
Adding he misses the "diverse eccentrics" and "different neighbourhoods" that were once such a big part of the city used to fill the city: "That's all been washed out. It's very suburban. The art scene really left, except in patches. It's all about sort of a corporate sensibility, and it's squeezed out room for any other kind of sensibility."
And Noth is planning to deal another blow to New York by moving his Cutting Room night club out of the Big Apple and into Las Vegas.
He explains, "I want to take the club to Vegas. I think a Cutting Room would be great in Vegas. I just haven't really had the time to go out there and schmooze people and try to get them to invest millions of dollars."
